Healthy Habits

Happy New Year! We are excited to spend another year working with you! The start of the new year generally brings resolutions and goals that aim to have us becoming the best verisons of ourselves. We want to help you achieve those goals. This month, we will be talking about building and maintaining healthy habits to help keep you on track with your goals.

Habit How-To

Here are some habit facts and tips to help you build your healthy habits this year:

1. Building habits can take weeks or months. Be patient with yourself if it isn't sticking immediately.

2. The best ways to build habits includes putting yourself in a sitaution that makes you more likely to do the habit, adding an incentive, or stacking a new habit within part of a normal routine or other healthy habit.

3. Understand the Habit Loop. This includes a cue (trigger) and a behavior/routine. Find the cue that will lead you to developing a habit. 

How We Help

We are passionate about keeping you happy and healthy. We want to be able to help support you as you make changes. Here are some ways that we can help:

1. App Education: we can walk you through how to most effectively use your Hum Health App

2. Habit Trackers: we developed a habit tracker for taking weight and blood pressure. This creates a visual guide to your habit success to keep you motivated.

3. Regular reminders: We can work with you to find a schedule for reminders from your care team.

Setting Reminders

 

Setting reminders within your Hum Health app is one of the best ways to ensure that no readings are forgotten. 

  • Navigate to the menu button (3 horizontal lines) in the upper lefthand corner on the home screen.
  • Select "My Reminder"
  • Select the purple button that sayd "Add Reminder" in the bottom righthand corner of the screen
  • Follow the prompts to set a custom reminder. This should include a title, description, date, time, and frequency. Tkaing your weight and blood pressure daily will give us the most accurate and consistent results. 
  • Select "Save" when finished.
  • Remember to turn on your notifications for the Hum Health App to get the reminders!
