Sandeep Munjal, MD, MBA
Board Certified Nephrologist
Dr. Munjal is a Board Certified Nephrologist specializing in kidney diseases and hypertension. He consults with patients at his office and rounds at Baptist Medical Center South, Davita Dialysis South, Davita Dialysis Philips and Fresenius Mandarin.
He is honored to have been elected as Chief of Staff at Baptist Medical Center South and serves on the Board of the Duval County Medical Society. Training He completed his Residency Training in Internal Medicine at the University of Rochester and Fellowship Training in Nephrology, Hypertension and Renal Transplantation at the University of Florida, Gainesville. After fellowship training he was recruited as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at University of Florida, Gainesville. This provided him the opportunity to teach, train and directly supervise residents and medical students. Dr. Munjal also presented several lectures during his time at the University of Florida, Gainesville. Practice In 2009 he founded Jacksonville Nephrology, where his goal is to not only treat, but to help educate patients based on his more than 15 years of medical experience. With his teaching and research background he has a natural energy to provide this to his patients. |

The ideal candidate will have a passion and ability to assess, educate, and collaborate with patients and team on care planning. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining a professional therapeutic relationship with patients, orienting patient and family with other team members, exploring family and community resources, participating in facility care planning meetings, providing ongoing casework, and understanding, supporting, interpreting and implementing the philosophy and policies of the facility.
Position will be part time, with flexible hours. Potential for becoming full-time.

Requirements
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
- Work well independently and be able to coordinate within a team.
- Master's Degree in Social Work accredited by the Council of Social Work Education.
- Current licensure (in good standing) in Florida.
- At least one year experience in dialysis social work.
